Fluorescent light bulbs and tubes (straight, circular and U-shaped), compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, UV radiation tubes, HID bulbs, and metal halide and sodium bulbs contain mercury and are all considered hazardous and should be handled accordingly.

Bulbs and tubes can be brought to the Drop-Off at the NEWSVT Landfill in Coventry. Visit the Transfer Stations page for contact and more information. They can also be saved and brought to one of the two HHW collection events held annually.
